There’s No Place Like Home at Jimboomba Childcare

Childcare Jimboomba

The age-old African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” is widely used and arguabley more pertinent today, than ever before.

In our fast paced world, where children know no different than instant information and digital technology, the pressure on parents to cover their children’s needs is great. Finding time to slow down and focus can be difficult. That’s why getting additional support and care is absolutely vital, not only to ready our little Early Birds for tomorrow, but also to maintain the wellbeing of our families!

At Jimboomba Education and Childcare, we pride ourselves on our wonderful team of long term, experienced, dedicated, and passionate educators who share a love of early childhood education and are devoted to fostering a love of learning, so children can become active learners!

Jimboomba Centre Director, Vicki Ward says, “We love that it’s a family owned centre and that it’s just like a ‘home away from home’.”

Our educators always ensure that the children and thier families feel part of OUR family, creating a strong sense of belonging, so we can all relax and feel free to explore.

This tends to come quite naturally to our staff, seeing that many of their children also attend the centre.

As Jimboomba Centre Administrator, Jennie Keller says, “Having all three of my children attend the Centre, there is a sense of familiarity, not just for me but my family too.”

Like any family, we ‘stick together’. In fact, our combined experience matches over 100 years, proving our Jimboomba family’s dedication and passion for children’s education is unparrallelled!

We even have parents and educators who attended our centre as children, now bringing their own children through our doors to begin their very own learning journey.

Long time Jimboomba Educator, Pamela Marshall says, “I love seeing the children I cared for and educated 20 years ago bring their children in to share the same experience.”

One of Miss Pamela’s students is now working alongside her as an early childhood educator at our centre, using everything Miss Pamela taught her to teach the next generation of Early Birds.

And that’s what it’s all about. As the times change and our educators develop new teaching techniques, the philosophy stays the same.

No matter how much time passes, at Jimboomba Education & Childcare we will always endeavour to teach our children to be kind, confident and caring individuals, who are interested in learning and building a better future.
